Meeting Minutes April 13th, 2017

Open Forum:  May 10th meeting to discuss something to provide after school care for early release Wednesdays.

Principal Report-Stacy: 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade State testing to begin at end of the month.

Teacher’s Report-Sara/Sarah: Arts for Smarts in 2 weeks.

Treasurer’s Report-Dan:  New budget is complete and out.

Volunteer Opportunities-Beth: Limo ride on April 24th

Old Business

Box Tops-Dollie: April check is for $530

Cookie Dough Fundraiser-Christina:  Huge success.  Sold a total of $32,029.38.  Profit of $13,504.75.  New company ran a lot better of a fundraiser.  Limo ride for the prize participants, is April 24th.  66 students qualified.  Permission slips will be sent home next Monday.

Carnival-Christina: May 12th 6-8pm. Still looking for more volunteers for booths.  Sara will email the key club person at Aloha.  Also may be able to get Rotary Club help and Girl Scout help.

Student Directory-Christina- Directory will get printed for $.39/book. Agreed to send out this year and re-visit how to stream line the “opt-in” next year.

New Business:

Request for Funds-Christina: 4th grade need $578 to supplement the already raised funds for their space.  They have already raised between $1,300 to $1,500.  Vote yes.  Need more Medium Believe to Achieve shirts.  Need 40, but would be a better deal to just purchase the whole amount for next year.  Voted to approve that.  1st grade would like to request funds for 3 busses for a field trip to the zoo on June 15th.

Meeting Date Change for May-Christina: Change from May 11th to Wednesday May 3rd

Teacher Appreciation Week May 1-5-Christina: Monday 1st, Stacy’s day.  Tuesday- coffee, Wednesday-Subway, Thursday -Sweet Treats (parent donations), Friday- Breakfast.  Staff count 104.

Board of Directors Nominations 2017/2018-Christina: Christina will not be returning to a board position.  Alison will not be returning to a board position.  Beth planning on returning as Volunteer Coordinator.  Need a treasurer.
